Repaired the way it was made
Every repair is worked by hand with a needle and matched yarn — the same techniques the rug was built with. Nothing is glued, taped, or farmed out to an outside workroom.
A thinning fringe or a small hole doesn’t mean the rug is done for. We rebuild rugs by hand at our own Coral Springs plant — the same place they’re washed — so the fix follows the weave instead of hiding it.
Small now, or big later
A rug comes apart from its edges inward. The knots at each end are locked down by the fringe and the side cords; once those let go, the pile beside them has nothing to hold it and starts marching off the rug a row at a time.
Caught early, a loosening fringe or a fraying edge is a quick, contained job. Left through another season of foot traffic in a busy Coral Springs household, that same edge turns into lost knots that have to be rewoven — far more work, and far more cost.
A fraying edge fixed today is far cheaper than the reweave it turns into.
So when we notice early wear at a cleaning inspection, we point it out — not to run up the bill, but because a stitch today saves a reweave tomorrow.

Done in-house
Fringe isn’t trim — it’s the rug’s own foundation showing through at the ends. We anchor a fringe that’s working loose or rebuild one that’s gone, so the end knots stay locked where they belong.
The side cords take the beating from vacuum wheels and furniture legs. We hand-wrap and re-secure those worn edges before the pile running alongside them starts to unravel.
A hole or a burn gets rewoven knot by knot in wool matched to yours, tracing the original pattern so the mend sinks into the design instead of sitting over it like a patch.
Moths feed on wool from the back, out of sight. We treat the infestation, then reweave the grazed and eaten areas back up to full, even pile.
Left damp against the cool tile floors so common in Coral Springs, a rug can rot through its foundation until it cracks. We judge how far the rot has traveled and rebuild whatever sound sections are still worth keeping.
A rug can be carefully trimmed shorter or taken in to fit a Coral Springs family room, and a tired antique revived through full restoration — each choice weighed against what the piece is really worth.
Keep it off the bench
A handful of small habits do most of the work. Rotate the rug a couple of times a year so a single walkway doesn’t take all the wear, and use a proper pad underneath — it stops the rug sliding and cushions the foundation against the hard tile most Coral Springs homes are built on.
Keep it dry: mop up spills quickly and never let a wet rug sit, because our summer humidity turns lingering damp into rot and mildew. And vacuum gently, keeping the beater bar off the fringe, which is where the unraveling usually begins.
